- Your email address
- Your feedback, suggestions, or questions
- Any other information you voluntarily provide
We do not collect any personal data when you simply browse events or use the app.
2 Microphone access (Feel the Music)
The app includes a "Feel the Music" feature that uses your device's microphone to detect bass frequencies in music and convert them to haptic vibrations on your device.
- Audio is processed entirely on your device in real time
- No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted
- You must explicitly grant microphone permission when prompted by your browser or device
- You can revoke microphone access at any time through your browser or device settings
3 Notification preferences
If you opt in to event notifications, we store your preferences locally on your device. This includes:
- Your chosen event categories (e.g. music, theatre, comedy)
- Your chosen location preferences
Push notification subscriptions use the standard Web Push protocol. No personal information such as your name, email, or identity is collected as part of notifications.
4 Event data caching
Event listings are cached on your device for offline access using browser storage. This data consists of publicly available event information only and does not contain any personal data.
5 Anonymous install tracking
When the app is first installed as a PWA (Progressive Web App), a single anonymous install event is sent to api.performanceinterpreting.co.uk. This contains only:
- Device type (mobile or desktop)
- Whether the app is running in standalone mode
No personal identifiers, IP addresses, or other identifying information is collected or stored as part of this event.
6 How we use your information
We use data collected through the feedback form to:
- Respond to your feedback or questions
- Improve the app and our services
- Share updates about BSL & ISL interpreted events (only if you've opted in)
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
7 Third-party services
The app uses the following third-party services:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics (web version only, not the installed app) - collects anonymous page view counts. No cookies are used, no personal data is collected. See Cloudflare's privacy information.
- Tally.so (feedback form, web version only) - processes feedback submissions. Any data you enter in the feedback form is handled under Tally's privacy policy.
